Jake is responsive, answers calls, quality, reasonable, has necessary equipment, good to work with, follows through. He is a find. We will retain him for future tree work.

★★★★★Laura F.Nov 2020HomeAdvisor

Jake came and added 2 drainage ditches and extended another. He fixed a huge rut in our left drive, graded our lot for our camper shed, and brought in gravel. He also drug our driveway and brought up the old gravel, saving us a tremendous amount on our gravel cost. He told us what he would do and he did it in a timely manner and for a really good price.

★★★★★Pearl Moretz HudginsFacebook review

We were very pleased with Jake’s service. He gave us a reasonable estimate the morning after we contacted him, worked with us on scheduling, came on time the day of the job, and even did some extra work beyond what was agreed. Excellent customer service and company. Would definitely hire him again.

Tree down on your house? Call now.

Storms do not keep business hours. When a tree hits a house, a car, or blocks the drive, one call puts the grapple saw truck on the way, day or night, with cleanup hauled off in the same trip.

Removing a large tree next to a house

Grapple saw removal for big trees

When a tree is too big, too close to the house, or brought down by a storm, the grapple saw does the work. It reaches up, grabs each section, and sets it down under full control, even tight against a roof.

  • Handles hazardous and storm-damaged trees safely
  • Big removals done in less time than climbing
  • Sections lowered under control, not dropped
  • The same rig loads and hauls the wood off in one trip

Tree service questions Triad homeowners ask

The questions homeowners actually ask before hiring us.

Ask Something Else
Do you climb trees, or only use the grapple saw?

Both. The grapple saw handles big and hazardous removals faster and safer, and we climb when the job calls for it. We pick whichever approach fits the tree and the site.

A tree fell on my house. Can you come out?

Yes. Storm and hazard calls come first, day or night. The grapple saw lifts the tree off in controlled sections instead of dropping it, then the same crew clears and hauls the debris.

Are you insured?

Yes. JW Grading & Tree Service carries insurance coverage on every job.

What does tree removal cost?

It depends on the size of the tree, how it leans, what it hangs over, and access for the truck. Every job gets a free on-site estimate with a straight price before any work starts.

How far do you travel?

About 30 miles out from Clemmons, which covers Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the towns between. If you are close to the line, call us and we will tell you either way.

Who actually shows up for the job?

Jacob Williard, the owner. He looks at the job, gives you the price, and is on site when the work gets done. No call center, no rotating crews.

Do you haul off the wood and debris?

Yes, the same crew that takes the tree down loads and hauls the wood in one trip. If you want the wood left cut for firewood, just say so.

Got a tree or lot to tackle?

Send the form or call. You will hear back from the owner, not an answering service.
